Allowing stress and anxiety to continue untreated or unrelieved may lead to serious anxiety disorders. Stress and anxiety are natural parts of our survival instinct. The body reacts to perceived dangers with stress and anxiety. However, when the feelings of stress and anxiety continue without any form of relief or treatment, social anxiety, panic attacks or anxiety disorders may occur.
